Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a reservation?
We ask that you book ahead if you plan to build a terrarium. However, if you’re just stopping by to shop, no booking is needed!
How long does it usually take?
Most guests spend around 45 minutes building their terrarium, but we usually recommend planning for 1 hour!
Is there parking available?
Yes! We offer free parking across the street at Regions Bank (off Winona St.) during your visit.
Can I bring my own container?
You may, please make sure it has been washed with hot water and soap. Dirty terrarium containers = moldy terrarium :(
Can children come to the shop?
We love our young plant lovers. Children are more than welcome to join you during your building session. We just kindly ask that they stay close and avoid running or jumping, as our smaller space includes lots of glass and a few animal friends.
What’s your cancellation policy?
We understand that plans can change, and we’re happy to work with you when possible!
Cancellations made at least 72 hours before the scheduled event may be rescheduled one time at no additional charge or may be applied to a store credit. Cancellations past this window/no shows will result in the forfeiture of your class fee.
If you have any difficulty cancelling/rescheduling from your booking receipt confirmation, please email us at help@pmterrarium.com.
Do you offer a warranty on terrariums?
We offer terrarium care support at no charge, as a tip based service only. It is available for any build that includes a bioactive clean-up crew (like isopods or springtails) and has been cared for according to the Terrarium Care Guide provided at the time of your session.
Here’s what’s included:
- In-store troubleshooting
We'll assess your terrarium and help identify issues like overwatering, mold growth, plant decline, or imbalance.
- Moisture adjustments
We’ll guide you through how to regulate humidity, open/close your vessel appropriately, or remove excess moisture if needed.
- Basic plant or moss replanting (if available)
If something didn't settle well despite proper care, we’ll help reposition or replace minor plant elements at no charge (subject to availability).
- Light cleaning or reset support
We’ll help tidy up your setup or refresh your terrarium's layout if needed due to natural shifts.
